A List Apart 4.0: Going Rails! August 23rd

Magazine, staffed by web super-heroes such as Jason Santa Maria, Eric Meyer, Dan Benjamin and Jeff Zeldman (in no particular order) relaunched yesterday as Version 4.0 on a custom Ruby on Rails based publishing platform.

ALA 4.0 has also been completely redesigned from the ground by aforementioned Jason Santa Maria and Eric Meyer. It uses Ajax for comment live previews and advanced CSS techniques as one might’ve guessed from the staff lineup. Jeff Zeldman promised a detailed review article walking through the “creative and technical aspects in detail”.

Anyway, could you please stop having every picture you post to Flikr added to your rss feed. It’s goes into Amrita blog monitor under the Ruby Buzz and the all we see is a list of your personal pictures. It’s pretty annoying.
