Bio
Patrick Lenz has been developing web applications for 10 years. Founder and lead developer of the freshmeat.net software portal, he and his company limited overload GmbH are responsible for a variety of web applications built using Ruby on Rails across the globe.
Patrick is the author of Build Your Own Ruby on Rails Web Application (SitePoint, 2006), Simply Rails 2 (SitePoint, 2008), and the article series The Adventures of Scaling (with Rails) (poocs.net, 2006).
Patrick has presented on various occasions, including Heise Events’ Open Source Meets Business and Rails Konferenz.
Furthermore, Patrick occupies the CTO position at storage specialist Topmedia Storage Solutions GmbH in Wiesbaden, Germany and a trainer for Big Nerd Ranch. His photography passion can be found at photo.graphi.st and Flickr.
